Object reference not set to an instance of an object error
When trying to work out the HA problems I removed a server from the inventory to try and figure out the HA problem I was having. Once I brought the server back it was in a state of several weeks ago. I have a snapshot that I took of it yesterday, but it doesn't show up in the snapshot manager. In the datastore there is 4 .vmdk files servername-000001.vmdk thru 000004. What went wrong and is there a way to fix this problem. Thanks.

Create a new snapshot and choose (from snapshot manager) "Delete all Snapshot".

By deleting all my snapshots will that revert the serer data back to the snapshot I took yesterday?
Deleting a snapshot is different than reverting to a snapshot. Deleting a snapshot will cause all of the data contained in the snapshot to get merged back into the VMDK file. You won't lose any of your changes by choosing delete. If you choose Revert, you will go back to the state the VM was in when you took the snapshot.
I tried creating new snapshot then delete all snapshots. No luck. The server still comes up to a old version.
Just got back from vacation, so I am trying to work out this issue again. I removed the snapshots from the snapshot manager and the server still comes up in an old state. When I look in the datastore for that I see two files that are 70GB each. servername-000001.vmdk and servername-000002.vmdk. Looking at the time stamp on them they were the last to be used before I upgraded to vsphere. How can I revert to those? Thanks in advanced.
