Hello
Have ESX 3.01 with all patches and the latest VirtualCenter installed (build 40644, noticed this behaviour in earlier versions as well)
VC is runing in a VM, for testing purposes.
Problem I have is the following.
I connect the VI client to the VC server
I click on a running VM, and open the console
If I click on an other VM, and then back to the VM with the open console, it says the number of active connections has changed to 2
If I switch to an other VM and back to the console of this VM, I get 3 active connections .... So every time I switch back to my VM with the open console window, an active connection gets added ....
Am I the only one with this problem, and if not, was someone able to fix this?

Duco
Are you using the Console tab of the VM or are you opening a separate console windows for the VM?

Hmmmm, am I the only one with this issue?
I just created a new VC server (as a VM), and still seem to have the issue of the increasing number of console connections ...
So decided to reinstall ESX (new install, but kept VMFS), and my problem is still there, and gets pretty anoying
Any help appreciated

Hello Duco,
Did you ever get an answer to this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem on ESx 3i, 3.5, 110271 and VirtualCenter 2.5.0 Build 104215.
Thanks,
-Ben
