Not able to use VMotion

Hi,

Im new to VMware, and im testing out VMotion.

I dont have the best lab, but i think i have whats required to use VMotion.

If im not wrong, i can use VMotion with NFS?(know its not recommended) if not, then thats my problem.

The setup is like this.

2 ESX Blade server, 1GB link between

1 NFS Blade server with 1GB link between the ESX Servers.

I have 1 VM on the ESX (192.168.1.100), and i want to migrate that to the other ESX (192.168.1.118) server. When i do i migrate, i get the following error "Unable to migrate from 192.168.1.100: The VMotion interface is not configured (or is misconfigured) on the source host 192.168.1.100"

I have a VMkernel port at the same nic as Service Console, on both the ESX server, i have set an ip on these 192.168.1.150 and 192.168.1.151.

I have mapped NFS storage to both servers, so both the ESX servers can access the same storage.

There is no mountable devices on the VM that im trying to migrate.

There is no affinity set on th VM im trying to migrate.

I have check the "map" tab, and both ESX servers can contact the VM....

What am i missing here.. tried to explain the best Smiley Happy

Thanks for reply.

Ole
