Not able to reconnect the ESX host to vCenter 4.1.

Hi All,

Found few ESX servers are in not responding state. I tried to reconnect and got the error : Database temporarily unavailable or has network problems. If I close the error window and give the credentials again getting the same error. I restarted the vmware-vpxa service but no luck…can anyone please help on this…

Thanks in advance

Hello Jithin,

Can you post the output of Hostd.log file when you connect the ESX 4.1 host to vCenter server?

Can you check this KB, it not the same issue but may be related:

Any Luck guys...

I did try to remove ESX from VC but no luck: error - The operation not allowed in the current state. I did try using PowerCLI still no luck…I cannot reboot the ESX as many critical VMs running on that ESX. Can anyone please provide the solution…thanks
