Not able to add AD user permissions

Hello

I use VMware Vcenter Standard 5.0

and had it configured with AD, However now when i search for a user (when adding permissions) i get the following error

Call "UserDirectory.

RetrieveUserGroups" for object "UserDirectory" on vCenter Server "Vcenterservername.domainname.local" failed

I am sure i did something wrong somewhere and i was hoping if someone can tel me how to fix it thanks!

BTW people can still login fine whit their AD accounts and the existing permisions are still applied, i currently cannot add now permisions.

I assume the account will not require any privileges in AD? So it can be a blank dummy account?

you should use a valid domain account.
