No Data Available on Performance Tab

Hi there,

I can't retrieve the performance data for just a single host and for some VMs on our vCenter. All other hosts are ok.

I'm getting the following error on Performance - Overview:

NO DATA AVAILABLE

If I browse during last week, I can see the past performance data until this week.

All VMs are running with latest VMTools version and this host wasn't updated.

What logs could I check?

Did you recently migrate the DB or did an upgrade on vCenter?

Yes same thing here, I've just upgraded the VCenter 4.0u2 into 4.1u1 while most of my ESX are on v4.0u2 and some of them ESXi4.1u1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Usually recreating the SQL jobs corrects the issue per http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1004382&sl... 0 132761305

Can you see any data from the Advanced tab>Chart Options...>Past Year ?

If you go to Home>Administration>vCenter Service Status - does everything look ok?

You may also want to look at this

Yes I have followed this KB article: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1030819 but still the problem remains.

I ran into this issue during one of the upgrades and I noticed I was missing some of the SQL jobs. You may want to crete the missing one and recreate the old ones just to be on the safe side. Refer to my prior post here: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1637551#1637551

Did this fix it? I have the same issue, tried both fixes above but still no joy.

I have 5 hosts in one cluster, 2 work fine, 3 only have real time data (no history)

Hi 1q,

That did the trick for me. This happened after upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1 on the hosts that were previously upgraded from 3.5. I just upgraded all my hosts to vSphere 5 and had no issues with this, or any other issues.

It is worth a try!

Good luck.

Thanks, I found that by rebooting my vCenter server it all came back.
