New VC2 install - please recommend physical server config?

Gents;

We are about to install three physical servers with VI3 Enterprise and we have decided to make our VC run on a separate machine. I have the minimum requirements for this machine but I am hoping that those of you who have done this are willing to share/recommend what minimum config we should purchase? On that same topic, can this machine be used to run any other utility-type apps such as M$ DPM for backup?

Server config is pretty nominal actually. Dual Core, fairly moderate server class processor, and 2G of RAM is all you really need. Depending on the size of Cluster and number of VM's you manage. It's more memory hungry than CPU intensive.

So a midline 1U server with these specs is sufficient, and your Database is the most important part, that should be separate and a fairly robust machine.
