Network customization failed while cloning windows VM

Hi ,

I have ESX 4.0 Installed & have various flavours of VM created( rhel5,_u4,suse10_SP3,windowsxp_xp2,windows7),

But If try to clone windows VM I am getting error "windows customization resources were not found on the server"

Any thoughts on this.

do you have all the sysprep files downloaded and placed into their proper folders on your vCenter Server?

Agree, sysprep files are needed. If you are in a rush, just deploy without customization and then change the VM settings after the VM is created.

Hi Thanks for help on this.

I was able to clone only windows 7 VM, however it is failing for winxp64,win2k3 64 etc.

any thoughts on this.

I have downloaded & plaved the sysprep at respective location form VMWare site which you mentioned.
