NFS

I want to creat a NFS mount on a windows 2003 server. I have done so. my vmotion vmkernel port is 10.168.3.x. my nfs share is on 10.50.10.x. so do i need to create a vmkernel port on the 10.50.10.x? if so can each esx host use the same ip when i configure the vmkernel port to access that NFS? when i do this after some time the nfs mount goes inactive

As long as your vmkernel IP can see the Windows Server IP you will be OK, they do not need to be on the same VLAN. I have a step by step guide at the below link...
