Is thee a command or script that will display all of the vm guests which have a connaction to an NFS share or are connected to the CDROM or floppy device? Is there also a script which will detach these devices?

In the VIPerlTookit there is a sample script called DSBrowse.pl, using this and the -vms command line option will list all the VMs in a particular datastore (including NFS).

No scripting needed, it'll run right out of the box.

Hope that helps.

You can use vmware-cmd to disconnect the cdrom, type vmware-cmd -h to get the list of options, you'll be using disconnectdevice.

There is also a nice perl script here

Don't know about the NFS connections though Smiley Sad
