Moving virtual vCenter server between DRS clusters

Hi,

We are currently moving our VMs over from one host in a DR cluster to another DR cluster with many hosts. I'm doing this via vCenter server (shutting down the hosts and migrating them over), I've come to the point where I need to migrate my vCenter server and I was wondering if people had any ideas on how to do this as I will need to power off the VM that holds the vCenter server.

Thanks,

Sean

You could use converter to create a copy on the new lun and host.

You could use SCP to copy over the files to the new host and lun.

Those are 2 ways, I am sure there are others.

Yes, this seems sensible.

I was also wondering if I could present that LUN to the new host and remove it from the inventory of the first host, then add in the VM through the second host? Perhaps I'm over complicating things?
