Moving Virtual Center from VM to Physical Server

Good morning,

Actually I have 2 ESX 3.5 with a SAN ISCSI. I 'd like to reinstall the Virtual Center Server, with is on a VM today, on a Physical Server for performances reasons (a lot of alarms for high usage CPU for this VM), and practical reasons (to update firmware of the SAN, I have to stop all the VM, so it'll be more practical not to have Virtual Center on the SAN.

I have backed up the 2 databases on the Virtual Center.

I think to stop my Virtual Center VM. Install VC on my physical Server which has a different name Smiley Wink . Restore Database on the new Server... and that-'s all folks.... Am I right ? Do you see any mistake in this

Thanks

Hi

Unless you have the same servername and IP address i am pretty sure you have to re-add all hosts again.

Because they do not know of the new VC Server
