Move license file to another license server

First, let me say I'm not trying to cheat the licensing system.

Is it possible to use the same license file on two license servers at the same time without problems? Reason I'm asking is that I'm going to be rebuilding an ESX server and moving it to a different environment with a different VI and license server. I'd like to get as much work done ahead of time as possible, so having the license pre-loaded (but not used) and verified would be good. Didn't know if there was a phone-home mechanism in License Server that might prevent that. Using VI 2.5U2.

Yes, you can do that. You can only have 1 license server active per VC anyway, so it's not really cheating. But it's easy you just have to copy the license file, and then when you are ready, point VC to the new location. License server is really easy to switch.
