Hi every one.
I am monitoring my VMs and found someting interesting. I have a VM that has configured 20GB of memory (Windows server 2003 R2) and when I open the task manager and select the performance tab it shows that it is using 16GB, but when I go to the vCenter Server and select the VM, the Performance tab and the advanced view (just like in the picture), the graph shows me only the 8.431% (like 1.7GB) of memory Usage, 19.918GB of consumed memory and the granted memory is 20GB.
What is that mean?
Can I reduce the amount of asigned memory to the VM like the 10-15% as the usage memory shows?
What is the difference between the consumed and the granted memory?
