Migrating hosts between vcenter server dvs switch

I'm trying to migrate a host between 2 vcenter servers on 5.5.  The hosts in question have a dvs switch configuration.  I know in previous versions you had to put all the vm's on a standard switch to be able to migrate them to another host but I was wondering if this was still the case with 5.1/5.5 if I exported the dvs configuration from one vcenter to the other and imported the host in?  Anyone know?

Oh I came from 5.0.  Looks like the process is the same as it was with 5.0 which can be a bit of a pain with reconfiguring things.
