Migrate into same Resource Pools

We have a plain and simple question...

If we want to 'free' an ESX machine, we always migrate all VM's to another machine. Upon migrating, we can only select one destination Resource Pool. But the VM's are running in different Resource Pools.

Is there a way to move all VM's running on one ESX to another machine, and KEEP their Resource Pool membership?

Thanks

If you put your host in maintenance mode, vc will migrate your vm´s to another host in the same resource pool.

Without DRS, every host is independent, and has independent resource pools.

With DRS, the hosts have the same resource pools, and automatic VMotions (DRS recommended, maintenance mode, ...) will leave the VMs in their original resource pool.
