Migrate hosts to new vcenter

I have a new vcenter all configured. Can't I just add the hosts without removing them from the old Vcenter first? Is that a bad way to do it? I only have two hosts. I have it configured to be the same as the old vcenter. I don't want to shut down any vms..... I read the other thread about moving hosts, but I don't have evc enabled.

what you need to do is just disconnect and remove the hosts from the old vCenter, then add host to the new.  All guests will continue to run and not be affected by this move.
