Hi,
We are looking to build a tactical development environment and are looking at using the 5.1 Essentials bundle but have a problem. I have found two documents stating different max vCPUs per vm, on stating 4 and one stating 8. Can anyone confirm what is the actual max vCPU per vm in the essentials (and essentials plus) bundle please?
The 4-vCPU document probably was for some older vSphere (4.x) version. Both, the 5.x Essentials and Essentials Plus edition support up to 8 vCPUs per VM.
Please link the documents you're referencing here.
Maybe an interesting KB article for you: VMware KB: Licensing for vSphere 5.5, especially the FAQ about previous versions.
