The ESX 3.0.2 Releasenotes states:
VMware Infrastructure DRS and HA clusters can include no more than 16 ESX Server hosts.
Now, i'm pretty sure this was 32 hosts before.
Is this a typo in the release notes, or is this a new "feature" ?
16 has been the recommended maximum for a long time. Look at VMworld 2006 pdf's:
page 45 states: Max Host supported for DRS and HA per cluster in VC2.0: 16
I can see it in this presentation, but according to the document "Configuration Maximums for VMware Infrastructure 3" the max number of hosts per DRS cluster is 32 (for HA is 16).
But I understand 16 max. is recommended?
Is that an official VMware statement?
What could/would be the issues if you have more then 16 hosts in your DRS cluster?
