Hi,
I always run into problem with HA and now my ESX hosts are settled. I want to apply some patches to the host and I understand that I need to put the host under maintenance mode. What is the pro/cons if I just schedule a shutdown of virtual center services instead of put the host under maintenance mode??. If this provide the same results, then I do not have to reconfigure the HA for the host.
Also in virtual center, how can I find out if a host is under HA in the cluster??
