Lost Vcenter database

Hi all

We had a test ESX4 setup with all the enterprise features (DRS, distributed vswitch configured). I downloaded the recent Vpshere sp1 version. When trying to update the Vcenter database I accidentally deleted the Vcenter database and lost everything now and doesn't have a backup.

After the Vcenter update, when I logged in, it was all empty. I managed to add the hosts but the network connections are not working on the Virtual machines and couldn't find the information on the Distributed switches.

Since this is the test environment, will I be better off to reinstall everything or is it any quick way to reconfigure anything?

Regards

Exg

if you lost your DB, that is what stores all your configuration information. At this point a rebuild from scratch is the only alternative if you don't have a backup copy of your vCenter DB.
