Hi,
users with special (norwegian/scandinavian) characters in their names are denied login to VC2.0.1 patch 2 (that is, VI Server). AD is used for access control.
Any ideas?

I have seen this as well with special characters in the password. We simply had the user change their AD password so no further investigation was required. Not sure what your options are in terms of renaming accounts.
Alas, the usernames are to widely used to be changed.

I tried to do a little digging but came up with nothing. If we can't get any positive responses to your issue here I would take it up with VMware. I know from my own experience this seemed to be an issue. fortunately we could resolve ours by having the user chnage their password.
