Hi all,
I just installed the last version of VCenter, with the embedded SQL Server. I configured the installation to use my windows account (Administrator).
My problem is that I cannot log on web interface nor with VI client: incorrect password or username...
Anyone can help please?
With which user do you try to logon? An AD or local account...?

can you log in with "Use Windows session credentials" If vCenter was installed and left as default permissions the local Administrators group will have the Administrator role in vCenter. Your domain account is a member of the local administrators group on the vCenter Host Server?
I do not have a domain account because I do not have a domain controler! Does the VCenter server have to be on a domain?

yes.

It can work also not in a domain.
Be sure that you are using a user that is a local Administrator of the vCenter Server.

Yes this is what I am doing but I get an error. I will try to create a new user with admin privilege.
By default users in local Adminstrators group have access to vCenter Server.

OK My problem is solved. I created a new user in Administrator group and I can now log with this user.
I don't understand why I'm still not able to log with default Administrator user...
Thanks all.
