Hello All,
First off i should say that this is for educational purposes. I have set up a small lab with some old servers at work and I'm trying to get some functionality out of a TRIAL version of ESX 3.5. I'm not looking at having full functionality of everything, but as much as I can.
Hardware used:
2 X HP ML370 with Intel Xeon processors
3GB RAM on one and 2GB on the other (thats all i got!)
Using SCSI RAID HD as the datastores
Dell Powerconnect 2024
Software used:
ESX 3.5 update 4 and vCenter 2.5.0
Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 to run vCenter
I open up my vCenter and add the current host that I am logged in to and it works fine. I try and add the other host (the other server) and it stuck in progress. No percent, doesn't even start as far as i can see. If i put in the wrong password it tells me its wrong until i put in the right one, so I know it can at least find the other host. It also tells me the specs.
Is there something I need to configure on the other host to allow me to add it in vCenter?
