LUN Paths Information not displayed

I recently noticed that in some ESX servers the path to LUNs is not being displayed.

I have to re-scan the datastorage to make the information appear momentarily but at the next refresh of VC it disappear again.

This problem is seen in a few servers only; the other servers information is being displayed correctly.

I tried rebooting the ESX servers and even removing them from VC and re-adding them. I also tried restarting VC but the result is still the same.

However, if I connect directly to the ESX host the path to the LUNs is displayed correctly. The problem only occurs in VC.

Any idea on what could be causing the problem? Thanks.

I guess the first thing to say is are you running patch2 on VC?

I'm not sure if this is a known bug, but having the latest patch will usually help.

Yes I am using patch 2 on VC.

If you rescan do you see them?

It could be the same problem as another thread in this forum:
