Is W2008 a supported OS for vCenter installation?

Is W2008 a supported OS for vCenter installation? i have looked through the documentation and all i see is that W2003 is supported as an OS for vCenter. I have a customer that is saying VMware told them that W2008 is supported with vCenter as an installation OS. Is anyone running vCenter on W2008?

No 2008 is not supported for vCenter
