Invalid license?

I have registered, activated, downloaded and installed our VMware Foundations licenses. The license server is also our vCenter server. When in the VCenter Mgmt Server Configuration, I checked off the radio button for "Use license services on this VirtualCenter Server" - when I revisit the config the radio button has automatically changed to "Use the following License Server" and the entry reads "27000@server.fqdn.corp"

If I try to click any the other details like "Statistics" or "Runtime Settings" I get "Enter a valid license server"

What's going on?

Please make your license server is started and pointed to the correct license file.

server.fqdn.corp should be the FQDN of the machine which your license server installed.

Would you please post the screen shot of the Error message?

I got the same error message.

On the pc where I launched the VI Client, I added an entry in the hosts file for the license server (the VC Server in my case) and now

it's working.

Hope this helps
