Installing VC 2.5 with MSCS - licensing question

Hello, I'm installing a new clusterd VC for production with two nodes.

Do i need to use two VC licenses for both nodes?

Thanks:)

You should use only one licenseserver. (1 license for VirtualCenter 2.5 in a cluster setup is sufficient)

You can also configure your license server as a clustered generic service, it's officially not supported but it works.

Thanks, but I know that allredy..

I want to use this option for redundancy, but have encounterd some problems during the installation,

Which have made me think this architecture might require two licenses for vc.

Any clues?

what i did ws the following.

i installed the license server on both cluster nodes with the same license file. And because it's setup like a generic service as a cluster resource only one of them can be active.

This means that you need only 1 license for Virtual Center. Wich is included in the license server.
