If vDS Down, Network Status of ESX and VM?

Hi,

If someone can confirm If vCenter Down (Network distributed Switch) went down what will happen to ESX and VM?

if vCenter down, ESX & VM connection still remain available but you unable to reassign your VM network to vDS till your vCenter is up. But it's all up to your design which can cause some headache like vCenter in VM & etc but I still prefer hybrid configuration.

Your ESX hosts and VMs will continue to function normally, however you will want to get your vcenter up and running as soon as possible. You will not be able to make any configuration changes and management will be rough.
