.whenever i took snapshot ..i want to store snapshot file on different datastore Automatically .......
if you have any script or method to save snapshot file (only) then please share it ..
You can specify an alternative snapshot location per virtual machine. Keep in mind though how snapshots work and that each snapshot is in use, so placing a snapshot on e.g. a slower disk will slow down the VM (see http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1015180)!
For how to configure the workingDir see http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1002929. In case of vSphere 5.x you will also need to set
snapshot.redoNotWithParent = "TRUE"
You may also want to read http://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2011/09/storage-vmotion-storage-drs-virtual-machine-snapshots.html before you reconfigure anything!
