How to configure vCenter Alert Actions globally?

I'm sure this is a FAQ, but I read the guide and searched for an answer to this, but the closest I got was http://communities.vmware.com/message/1324660 on how to configure email addresses.

vCenter comes with about 34 default alarms. Great. But to add an Action, say, to email me when triggered requires editing each and every one of them manually.

Any way to make this simpler?

Good question.

I think is not possible with vSphere Client, but only using scripting or CLI.
