How to configure File system type as "Local"

Hi,

In WSDL (VI SDK), there are 3 file system types like local, nas, vmfs for virtual center 2.5.

While we are able to see the file system types nas and vmfas we are not able to see

the "local" file system type. Please let me know how to configure the file system type as "local" in Virtual

Center 2.5 or ESX server 3.5.

Thanks..................................

don't they just refer to local storage (NFS or VMFS) wich is locally attached to the ESX host and when reffering to NAS or VMFS they refer to shared storage ?

Hi Vrinda

if I understood your question corretly, then all you need to do is go to VC>select desired ESX server click on configuration>storage>refresh> add storage see if you can find local storage. also go to storage adapter and try rescan.

hope this help
