How to check and updates the Host using vCenter v7?

Hello everyone,

So here comes the part to check for updates/patches which I am trying to get familiar with.

I have 2 hosts, both running ESXi version 7 (latest). On one host, I have installed vCenter version 7.0 (latest)

My question is, how do I use the vCenter to check if there is any appropriate updates for the Host version? And if there is/are, how could I go about to apply those updates/patches?

Thank you for your patience in advance

Hi Jamesnb1

You should be able to use VMware lifecycle manager to check and apply patches to your ESXi hosts. There are a few default baselines that can be applied to the ESXi host. These can be used to check compliance for patches and to apply the updates.

If you select the host and go to updates, you should see the option to attach the baseline and check compliance. There is also the remediation option to install the updates.
