How to Find IOPS from Virtual center 4.1

Hi All,

I want to check historic IOPS data of few ESX servers, If I go and try to access historic data only few counters are showing and there are “”usage and highest latency”” . How can I check old IOPS data? Can anyone please help on this..

Hi

In vCenter you cannot see directly IOPS.

to see that, you have to select the datastore and choose the value "Read request" and "Write Request".

As i'm writing, i'm not sure if this info is available for past values. but for real time i'm sure it is.

BUT PAYE ATTENTION : its a summation of IO, occured during the last period of summaiton. it means :

Real-Time (past hour)	20 seconds (just divide the IO sum by 20 to have IOPS)
Past Day	5 minutes
Past Week	30 minutes
Past Month	2 hours
Past Year	1 day

I'm unable to find the historic data but real time is data is available and I was looking for last week' s data One more thing,  I can see four counters ie..

Average write request from second, Average read request from second, Write rate, read write...which and all counters can be used to find the IOPS......thanks again...
