How to Export List of VM Inventory from Web Client 5.5

Hey Everyone,

In the windows client we can click on a cluster, goto VM tab and then export CSV / excel format.

Is there a way to accomplish this same task in the Web Client?

Thank you for your help, points awarded.

You can use RVTools to accomplish this export as well as many others. I will have to do some digging in the web client to answer your exact question.

Go ahead and log into the Web Client.

Pull up your virtual machine list.

Down in the bottom right corner of the center pane (with all your vm's listed) is an icon of a piece of paper with an arrow on it.  That will allow you to push out a CSV.

See screen shot.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

To add on on to Ted reply...

You need to select all the VM's or resources onto which you want the report.

PFA screenshoot for reference..

This is a bit of an old post but, just in case anyone else finds it on Google (as I did) and is after an inventory tool for VMware, I thought I'd point out that our company has created a tool which automatically inventories your VMware environment.

I hope it's ok to share a link to it here: XIA Configuration Server
