How long can ESX run without VC?

I know I read this somewhere but can't remember where.

It'll be 14 days.

During periods of license server unavailability, VirtualCenter and ESX Servers using served licenses will be unaffected by relying on cached licensing configurations for the duration of a 14-day grace-period even across reboots.

Point of clarification: ESX can run without VC indefinately (that is, you do not need VC to run ESX). It cannot run, if based on server-based licenses, for more than 14 days.
