How do I remove the snapshot?

My VM be backed-up via Avamar, but recently it occurs the error.

I find the reason which is snapshot does not be removed automatically.

To solve the issue, the snapshot should be removed manually.

The question is: I can not click "delete" or "delete all" button. (Please check the simulation photo below)

Does anyone know how I should remove the snapshot correctly?

Hi,

you probably don't have permission to delete snapshops. Which user did you log into vCenter with?

So you select "1st" but the delete buttons do not become clickable?

Is it only Snapshot deletion that's grayed out, or also migration, and other things?

What may have happened is that a flag (VPX_DISABLED_METHODS) has not been reset due to the failed backup task. Please see the resolution section in e.g. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2008957 for how to reset that flag.

Thank you for your link.

But it is really high risk to remove any data in database. (Even I don't know the command meaning)

How does it looks like of you connect directly to the ESX Host and try to use the HostClient?

the avamar proxies had the bug not releasing the vmdk after backup. look in the config of the proxy vm to see if the vmdk of this vm is mounted
