How do I monitor disk failures - esxi 5 on hp dl 360 g7?

Some things I read said you need the HP insight management agent for esxi. I looked into that, but this isn't available for this model server. Other things I read said click on the Hardware Status tab of a host in vCenter and if you see your disks/raid controller listed, you can get alerts for it. My disks/raid controller doesn't show up on this tab.

Now I'm stumped...

Does any one know how I can setup alerts for a disk failure?

Thanks

Scratch that, it does show up under storage. But how do I get the alerts setup for disk failure?

There should be a default alarm already built into your vCenter 5.0 called Host storage status.  There are a number of alarms that start with "Host hardware..."  If you edit the alarms you can configure them to send SNMP traps and emails.
