Host removal crashes virtual center 2.5

Hi,

after upgrading to VC 2.5, the VC-service crashes when I try to remove a host from the datacenter. When I start the VC service again the host is in the state "disconnected". Another host in that datacenter can be removed and readded without any problems. Before the upgrade to VC 2.5 there haven't been any problems removing any host.

Any ideas?

Hi,

After upgrading VC to 2.5 did the virtual center agent upgrade happened on the ESX host? If notupgrade it manually,

Copy the vpx-upgrade-esx-7-linux-84767 from C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VirtualCenter Server\upgrade folder to /tmp directory of the ESX server.

Login to ESX server and Run

#sh vpx-upgrade-esx-7-linux-84767

Restart the mgmt service

#service mgmt-vmware restart

Hope this helps

Hi,

thanks for your response. Seems like VC 2.5 U2 fixed that issue.
