Host disconnected

I'm using Virtual Center Server 4.0 U1 with ESX 3.5 U4 hosts.

I wanted to remove some vm snapshots that took a lot of space in my storage. After a while I saw that one of my hosts is disconnected in Virtual Center. I see also that the vm's are aso disconnected but I can access those vm's through remote desktop. The snapshots also timed out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Try to reconnect the host (right click on it).

Do you have a redoundant network configuration for ESX management? (at least 2 pNIC on the relative vSwitch).

It's reconnected now but I still see Reconnect host in Recent Tasks and the status is in progress and one of the vm's which was in the process of clone is orphaned on that host.

Could be a network problem to contact the VC Agent. Have you check if you have a network redundancy?

Or could be a overload problem with the ESX, in this case you can try to restart the vpxa service.
