Host Type and vcb

I am trying to configure vcb and one of the requirements is that the vcb needs to be connected to our SAN. My question is which type the host type should be configured to. Our SAN is a DS 4400 and the host types that the ESX servers are using are LNXCL. As the vcb server is a windows 2003 server, shoud the host type for this server be configured to LNXCL or Windows 2000/Server 2003 Non-Clustered?

Hello,

Host Type for a SAN depends on the host being connected. Since VCB is a Windows host then I would think you want the setting that you use for any Windows host. The ESX server uses a different host type.

Best regards,

Edward

I did choose the host type to be windows and it works. But I did not find any information if this is the correct setting. But it works for now, so I will leave it at that.
