HA configuration for network

Hi all,

I am new in vCenter. Now I try to create, HA cluster.

I have two managment consoles for each ESX. I already test HA, by rebooting one ESX host - all working fine

I have question about virtual host's network in cluster - what is the best practice for network configuration?

What happends if first vSwitch goes down? Do I have configure any option or cluster do all for me? (I have the identical vlan's on first and second vSwitch)

Thanks!

Hi!

In general best practice is to configure redundant cluster heartbeat networks.

There are several ways to do it and choosing one or another mostly depends on your environment.

Take a look at this one: http://www.yellow-bricks.com/vmware-high-availability-deepdiv/

It should clear out a lot of fog around HA Smiley Happy

After that the settings you might want to pay some attention to could be timeout values and isolation addresses.
