HA agent has an error

Strange situation.

We have a farm with two clusters one of 10 HOSTS and the other of 7 HOSTS.

On some HOSTS we got the error "HA agent has an error".

The odd thing is this. The HOSTS with errors change depending on..... Who knows?

We've removed the clusters and create them anew.

The HOSTS with errors are different from the previous ones.

Hello,

Did you verify that the hostnames/addresses are listed in each /etc/hosts file?

Did you look at the logs in /opt/LGTOaam512/log directory?

Best regards,

Edward

We use a DNS no hosts file.

Yes the logs are many.

The Task gives this error:

"internalerror Vmap_hostname process failed to stop"

Hi,

I know ... this is a very old thread.

What was the solution? Is your DNS also virtualized on your VMWAre infrastructure? Do you need DNS available at boot time of your ESX infra?

Thanks in advance for your response,

Regards,

Vincent

After several new Clusters and add hosts the problem is solved.

Hello.

May I ask what solved your problem? It seems I have a similar problem. Everything is fine now and after 10 minutes one of the hosts (random everytime) reports this error.
