HA : Failover

I have the following few queries on HA.

Ex:- HA cluster with more than 2 hosts

1) What happens when one of the host looses connectivity to storage (FC,ISCSI or NFS) ? Does failover happen in this case?

2) Classic ESX :

COS : 192.168.2.10/255.255.255.0 - GW 192.168.2.1

VMKern : 192.168.2.11/255.255.255.0 - GW 192.168.2.1

ESXi:

Mgmt N/w : 192.168.2.12/255.255.255.0 - GW 192.168.2.1

VMKern N/w : 192.168.3.12/255.255.254.0 - GW 192.168.2.1

In the above case, How would VC find whether a host (classic and ESXi) is isloated from the network?

HA takes care of only host failures. So there wont be any failover happening in case of storage issues.

If you have virtual machine monitoring enabled with HA, then HA will kick in, because the virtual machine will die because it's storage is not available.
