Guest Windows VM shows as VMtools are up to date but in vsphere client status for VM is VMTools are out of date. Did any one face this and can any one explain what could be the reason

My guess is you are not running the VMware tools version matching with the ESXi host's version. Try checking with VMware Tools-version mapping file.
