Guest OS "Unknown"

A lot of my VM's in vCenter 4.1 are displaying an "Unknown" OS.  If I right-click --> Edit Settings --> Ok, the screen will refresh displaying the correct OS for the guest.  The problem is that with 100+ VM's, this gets old really fast.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

restart you vCenter Server Service.  Or if this is specific to guests on a certain host, restart the management agents.

I ended up having to restart the agents on the host servers.  Still a pain in the a$$ as there are 15+ servers but it beats 100+ VM's.
