Generate alarms from VC for Health Status?

Just wondering if its possible to generate a VC alarm (and get it to email) for health status events?

I can't find anything obvious.

not for a specific hardware failure, but you can add one for any failure. (as of 2.5 u2) right click on your datacenter, click on add alarm, click on triggers, click add, and click on the pulldown for trigger type and chose "host hardware health".

Don't think VC has that capabilities. You may want to look at either downloading the health check scripts found at http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2008/01/28/vmware-esx-healthcheck/ or using a 3rd party product like Foglight, vCharter, and various other "vmware" monitoring solutions.
