Export vSwitch configurations

Hi everyone,

We have a lot of ESX servers and a lot of vSwitches (vlans) on each ESX server (ESXi4 and ESX4).

I'm about to use a few new ESX servers and i wonder if it's possible to export all vSwitches on ESX and import them back on a new ESX server?

It would save me a lot of time.

Regards,

Joris

You can use host profiles for this, or Powercli - though my favourite method is:

The author is Flores Eken from ITQ Consultancy in the Netherlands. He is a VMware SDK programmer. He wrote this application in C# based on the new ESX3.x /VC2.x SDK, but it works in ESX 4

you can download it at :

One day I will virtualise myself . . .
