Error of exceeded time limit off I/O while cloning

Hi everybody!

I have a very strange case:

I have a Win2003SE VM and i have just clone it without problem.

I need to make another clone but operation fail and return "Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the create snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen virtual machine." while i try to clone it, but i can normaly take snapshot.

I have try to clone the new clone VM but the result is the same.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Check out this discussion. It has a lot of good information in it about resolving this error message.

Good Luck!

Thx !

I had read the discussion suggest, but there's any case like mine.

On that VMs i can run snapshot and i can take backup with third-party programs and i have no VSS active.

The only task that i can't do is clone.

Do you think that i could resolve reinstalling VMTolls? (these are production machine... i have to plane every reboot..)

Thx advance...

PS I have jus tried reinstalling VMTolls but the situation didn't change....
