I've just installed a VirtualCenter 2.5 and connected two hosts ESX 3.5

When I download the VIClient on my Windos2000 Pro SP4 and I try to start, the application say the error in title.

Do you have enough rights to install the client?

Any errors in the eventlog?

Tanks for your response.

I have administrator rights, no messages in eventlog. I think SSL certificates, do you?

The SSL certificates only come to play when you try to connect to the VC / ESX Server.

According to your first post (unless I missed something) you are unable to install the VC client.

Yes, you're rigth. Sorry for my english.

I wanted to say that the installation was right but the problem comes when I try to start the program (send a screenshot). The same problem arrives when I try to installa the applicatione either from CD "VMware Virtual Center 2.5" or from Web address.

I had the exact same error that Carlo was having on my Windows XP SP2 system. I found this thread, went to the Add/Remove Programs control panel, and did a "Repair" on the .Net 2.0 Framework and all was fine again.
